Hi! I’m Erin, neighborhoods reporter for hyper-local nonprofit newsroom Charlottesville Tomorrow. I cover a variety of issues on the neighborhoods beat, including housing, homelessness, transportation, and some local history. My work covers the physical landscapes of Charlottesville and the surrounding counties, and how things are changing for the people who live there. I hope to help people understand how history has shaped our community, and that decisions made today will affect our collective future.
Our newsroom’s values are truth, equity, and community, and therefore my reporting often focuses on the people most affected by these decisions. Their voices are often left out of mainstream media coverage, and I work hard to include them in my reporting.
Before joining Charlottesville Tomorrow in 2021, I was an arts and culture reporter with bylines in Women in Sound, Bandcamp Daily, C-VILLE Weekly, and The Australian, among other publications.
